Arise ye brethren ! Here comes the festival of lights !
Harbinger of prosperity ! Destroyer of all our plights !
The roar of crackers sound like thunder.
The sparklers flash out radiance yonder!
Today,we hail the Lord's triumph over the devil-
But lo ! Have we overcome all our evils--
Lust,Greed,Anger,Hatred and the like?
Let's on this festive occasion strike
At the roots of these and bask in fame!
Come along ! Let's rekindle and rejuvenate the flame
Of Love and Affection,
Peace and Joy and
The spirit of Universal Brotherhood!
