cup of joy
( I wrote this poem just now to mark my 60th birthday-21-07-2013)
Enjoy,enjoy life's cup of joy
Don't be sullen,don't sulk or be coy.
Watch the hues on the heavenly canvass
That merge, submerge and then emerge as
A new, fresh and enchanting design
On ev'ry daybreak and evening divine.
Bewitching beauty,that's Nature's bounty
Beckons you -revel in God's aplenty.
Hear the music serene and sweet
Which is ecstasy's highest seat,
As one raga softly and subtly slide
Into another on a harmonious tide.

Swallows, parrots and nightingales
Regale you with life's happy tales.
Human soul is gentle in its core--
Feel it,share it --grieve no more!
